Hybrid meeting

NeuroGASTRO 2023 is hybrid and can be attended online on www.neurogastro2023-live.eu both for online registered people but also for in presence people. 

Congress Language

The official language of the NeuroGASTRO 2023 Virtual Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Programme Changes

The organisers cannot assume liability for any changes in the congress programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances.

Congress Registration Desk

Congress materials will be available at the congress registration desk located in the Hotel Lobby on the ground floor. The congress staff will be pleased to help you with all enquiries related to the meeting.

Speakers' Preview Room

The Speakers' Preview Room is located in Transilvania Room, at mezzanine floor. Speakers are asked to hand in their flash drive, containing the PowerPoint presentation (IBM format or compatible, no multisession) preferably one day before their presentation but no later than 90 minutes prior to the presentation. 

Due to time and technical reasons we kindly ask the speakers not to use their own notebook. Notebook working stations are provided in the Speakers Center where speakers can also work on their Notebook charts in a quiet area. Technical staff will be glad to assist.

The exhibition hall is taking place in the Hotel Lobby, Primavera and Crownball Foyers on the ground floor where coffee will be offered during the breaks.

Poster Exhibition

Posters will be on display in the Orhideea and Crownball D Rooms at the ground floor from Thursday August 31 to Saturday, September 2. Please refer to the programme to check the scheduling. The daily poster sessions offer an effective forum for the exchange of information and a means to communicate ideas, research and programmes.

Poster Presentations

Poster authors are required to be available for questions and further information at their poster board each day from 13.15 to 14.00. Please note that the Poster Areas will also be open for viewing during Coffee breaks starting from August 31 in the afternoon.

Certificate of Attendance

A certificate of attendance will be sent out via email upon request at the Organizing Congress Secretariat desk after the event by the end of September.

Welcome Reception

All participants of NeuroGastro 2023 are cordially invited to attend the Welcome Reception, which will be held on Thursday, August 31, from 18:00h onwards. The gathering will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel. There will be drinks and some finger food. 

Get-together

All participants of NeuroGastro 2023 are cordially invited to attend the Get-Together event, which will be held on Friday, September 1, from 20:00 onwards. To get access Delegates need to be registered here. 

Delegates who did not register in the Get-Together event, are invited to buy their ticket on site, at the registration desk by August 31, 2023, 12.00h.

WiFi

As a courtesy to all participants free WiFi will be available at the venue.

Coffee Breaks & Lunch Boxes

Coffee breaks are included in the registration fee and will take place in the exhibition hall on the ground. Lunch boxes will be delivered during Lunch Symposia.

A cloakroom is available at the Mezzanine Floor.

Currency, Bank and ATM

The unit of currency is the RON or Leu. Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, shops and restaurants. ATM are available at the hotel. Nearest Bank is Raifeisen Bank, 7 minutes by foot from the venue. Adress: Piata Presei Libere Nr 3 Bucharest 

Electricity

Voltage: In Romania the power plug sockets are of type F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. To use American type plugs, a 230-volt transformer should be used together with an adapter plug. 

Climate

Bucharest has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers. Owing to its position on the Romanian Plain, in summer, the average high temperature is 29.8 °C (85.6 °F) (the average for July and August). Temperatures frequently reach 35 to 40 °C (95 to 104 °F) in midsummer in the city centre. Although average precipitation and humidity during summer are low, occasional heavy storms could occur.

Getting around Bucharest

There are many bus and tram stops throughout the city, making it easier to get around in Bucharest. Buses, trolleybuses and trams are all run by RATB, the local public transport operator. Ahead of their journey, people should purchase an Activ or Multiplu card, found at kiosks near bus stops.

Car Parking

Parking is available at the congress venue, at normal rates. No discounts Parking: 50 lei/ car/ day for guests with accommodation only. 

Recording, Photography & Video Streaming

Recording

According to the European law, it is only permitted to record and to film lectures subject to the explicit consent of the lecturer. If the required consent was not given, we ask you to refrain from recording the lecture. Any infringements can have legal consequences.

Photography & Video Streaming

The organiser may without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures and videos taken during the congress for reports of the congress and/or in future marketing materials.

By registering to this congress attendees agree that photographs or sound or video recordings taken during the congress that could include recognizable images or voices of those in attendance may be posted on the society website and related social media channels.

All recordings are treated sensitively and discreetly. Names will not be published. The congress is held in a public virtual space, therefore we do not prohibit participants, exhibitors, sponsors, or news organisations from photographing, video or audio-taping some virtual congress activities.

The organiser reserves the right to use images taken at the virtual congress with your photograph and/or likeness on social media and/or in future marketing materials. The organiser is NOT responsible for individual attendee’s use of your image or likeness.
