The NeuroGASTRO 2023 will be organised by the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility. ESNM is a non-profit society with the mission to represent the interests of all professionals in Europe and beyond involved in the study of the neurobiology of gastrointestinal function.
Our next biennial meeting NeuroGASTRO 2023 will be another unique opportunity to present your work, discuss your neurogastroenterology research and clinical practice with numerous colleagues and a distinguished faculty from Europe and around the globe.
Our Mission is:

Scientific Content
The scientific programme is structured according to days, time and room. All presenters are listed by name and the title of their presentation.
Postgraduate Course
The Postgraduate Course will provide an update on the clinical aspects of Neurogastroenterology and Motility. During this half-day course renowned experts will provide practice-oriented comprehensive overviews, covering pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of GI motility and functional disorders.
Plenary Sessions
There are two plenary sessions, in the first and second days of the meeting. The invited lectures in these sessions last 22 minutes, including discussion. In addition, one or two top-ranked abstracts that fit in the theme of the session will be presented orally. The time allotted for Abstract oral presentations is 15 minutes, including questions.
Parallel Symposia
There are three simultaneous, parallel symposia. Most parallel sessions last 90 minutes and comprise invited lectures (22 minutes) and selected abstract presentations (15 minutes each).
Hands-on Course
The goals of the hand-on session is to offer the opportunity for directly observing, performing and analyzing high-resolution esophageal manometries, impedance-pH recordings and high-resolution anorectal manometries. Participants will have the chance to see / perform the procedures under direct supervision of dedicated international and Romanian motility experts, discuss real-time tips and pitfalls of data acquisition and interpretation and will rate / classify motility studies according the lates classification systems.
Poster Sessions
Accepted Posters will be exhibited during NeuroGastro 2023 and will be grouped into areas of research. The poster exhibition offers an effective forum for the exchange of information and a platform to communicate ideas, research, and programmes.
Posters of distinction will be displayed on the 3 days of the Meeting.
Industry Sponsored Sessions
The industry sponsored sessions are organised by the industry in consultation with the Scientific Committee. The programme of the industry sponsored sessions is not affiliated with ESNM.
According to CME guidelines the detail of each Industry Symposium will be indicated in the final and separate section of the programme.
